Blue Öyster Cult : Don't Fear The Reaper (Best of)

All our times have come
Here but now they're gone
Seasons don't fear the reaper
Nor do the wind, the sun or the rain..we can be like they are
Come on baby...don't fear the reaper
Baby take my hand...don't fear the reaper
We'll be able to fly...don't fear the reaper
Baby I'm your man...

Valentine is done
Here but now they're gone
Romeo and Juliet
Are together in eternity...Romeo and Juliet
40,000 men and women everyday...Like Romeo and Juliet
40,000 men and women everyday...Redefine happiness
Another 40,000 coming everyday...We can be like they are
Come on baby...don't fear the reaper
Baby take my hand...don't fear the reaper
We'll be able to fly...don't fear the reaper
Baby I'm your man...

Love of two is one
Here but now they're gone
Came the last night of sadness
And it was clear she couldn't go on
Then the door was open and the wind appeared
The candles blew then disappeared
The curtains flew then he appeared...saying don't be afraid
Come on baby...and she had no fear
And she ran to him...then they started to fly
They looked backward and said goodby...she had become like they are
She had taken his hand...she had become like they are
Come on baby...don't fear the reaper

Bulbous Creation - You Won't Remember Dying (1970)

Ainsi qu'à Lost In Tyme... :
"1970 recordings of great jammy downer hardrock/psych with an intense atmosphere, far-out vocals and only one weak cut. Lyrics deal with smack, 'Nam, satanism and more; a merciless snapshot of the post-flower power era. In my opinion among the very best of all the Cavern Sound Studios stuff (Stoned Circus, Crank/Thump Theatre, Phantasia, Trizo 50) that has appeared. The reissue has the usual Rockadelic sleeve obsession with heroin and death, which is well matched by the sounds inside. The label was unable to locate the band which explains the lack of info."

A Very Bootie Christmas (2006)

BOOTIE – the first and biggest mashup bootleg club in America – presents:
A VERY BOOTIE CHRISTMAS

featuring 16 of our favorite holiday mashups!

On Saturday, December 9th, 2006, at the Bootie Holiday Party in San Francisco, DJ Adrian spun a one-hour set of only Christmas mashups -- including all of the tracks featured here.

"A Very Special Christmas is a series of compilation albums of Christmas music. It features Christmas carols and songs sung in various styles by such music superstars as U2, Madonna, Whitney Houston, Run-D.M.C., and Bruce Springsteen.

A Very Special Christmas, the first in the series of compilations, was released in 1987. It was a benefit album, supporting the Special Olympics. Since the release of this first album in 1987, the entire series has raised over $55 million, more than any other benefit series. The cover art is by Keith Haring.

Shaa Khan - The World Will End On Friday (1977)

planetmellotron nous dit "Shaa Khan are one of those rather second-division German progressive bands who ended up on the Sky label, presumably because Brain didn't want them. They're not bad, exactly, just not that great, either.".

Die Hunns - You Rot Me (2006)

Pink Floyd - Live at Pompeii (1972)

"Pink Floyd: Live at Pompeii is a 1972 Adrian Maben film featuring Pink Floyd performing six songs at the ruins of the empty ancient amphitheatre in Pompeii, Italy." (Wikipedia).

Ministry - The Mind Is A Terrible Thing To Taste (1989)

"There are some album covers you can look at, and just know the music within is going to be hard and heavy. This is obviously one of those albums." Amazon's customers reviews

l'United Negro College Fund : "A mind is a terrible thing to waste"

(Al Jourgensen, trés en forme, a aussi sorti les titres "Psalm 69: The Way to Succeed and the Way to Suck Eggs", ou encore mieux, "Dark Side of the Spoon")

McChurch Soundroom - Delusion (1971)

"There is no getting around the album cover, a cool cover of a skull in melting candle wax." (Rate Your Music)
(NB : le groupe était bien
suisse)

All Time" (In July 1972, Jean "Edith Bunker" Stapleton checked herself into Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, complaining of severe headaches. X-rays revealed hyper-calcitrated dysplasia in her "jowl bone" and the growth of a rhomboidal network of strange knobs on her forehead, likely caused by CBS studios' overuse of high-powered tungsten lights on her "good side." In a tasteless move, Be-Bop Deluxe mockingly touched up contraband copies of the x-ray for their 1974 debut.) aussi bien que dans les "favorites" (Interestingly the guitar on the cover actually exists. It originally belonged to Bill Nelson, but somehow ended up in the hands of the late Stuart Adamson (Big Country). Way cool ! - "Way cool !" ou "hum ?" -).
